Today we’re going to explore the history of Apple gaming. This topic spans a couple of decades and a lot of different products, since Apple’s approach to gaming has always been very unique compared to other players in the industry. Apple began its foray into gaming right from the start. In 1974, Steve Jobs was working for Atari as a night-shift engineer when he was asked to help create a prototype for the game Breakout. He enlisted the help of his friend Steve “Woz” Wozniak, and from here Apple was born. The two went on to develop a prototype for the Apple I computer and founded Apple Computer on April Fools Day of 1976.
