Samsung Galaxy A53 5G | Forget the iPhone SE 2022
The Samsung Galaxy A53 5G is already looking like one of the best mid-range smartphones of 2022 and it’s only March. Boasting some feature-packed camera tech, upgraded performance vs the A52s, bigger battery and updated specs, the Samsung A53 5G is a serious iPhone SE and Realme GT2 rival. This hands-on review shows off the best bits, ahead of my full unboxing.

Like the flagship Galaxy phones, this more budget-friendly blower serves up Android 12 and OneUI 4.1 with guaranteed updates. The camera is headed by a 64MP primary shooter with OIS, so should prove capable for everyday photos and home movies. Gamers should also hopefully be sated by Samsung’s fresh Exynos 1280 chipset, which powers the Galaxy A53 5G.

Battery life should be improved over the already excellent A52s, with a 5000mAh capacity cell stuffed inside of that plastic shell. You can grab this Android in 4 colours and they all boast Gorilla Glass 5 up front.

So are you tempted by the Samsung A53 5G? Let me know your questions and early thoughts in the comments, full unboxing coming soon!
