Samsung Galaxy S21 FE 5G Review | Not the perfect reboot
Reviewing the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE 5G, the ‘Fan Edition’ 2022 reboot of the original flagship smartphone. With its bigger battery and telephoto camera zoom, the Samsung S21 FE could have been an upgraded model that packs a punch. As it is, you should wait for the Galaxy S22 instead, which should be more compact, more powerful and hopefully boast improved longevity.

Battery life is again the biggest problem, as this phone struggles to survive a full day on one charge. If you Skype your fam, or use the camera a fair bit, or play games, then you’ve got little hope of making it to bed without powering up the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE 5G.

Performance isn’t as impressive as some rivals, and like the Pixel 6 you’ll see slowdown on more demanding games like Genshin Impact. That camera isn’t as good as Google’s optics for everyday stills, although Samsung has once again nailed the video results and that selfie cam is respectable.

I do love OneUI 4.0 with Android 12, which boasts especially impressive privacy and security chops. And the Galaxy S21 FE serves up slick visuals and great sounding audio as well.
